They built bank and other civic buildings up and down the East Coast. In the late 1930s Bill built a bank in Rhinebeck, NY and liked the village well enough that he built a house there. It was soon after that he met Vera.
Bill became a contractor in the Rhinebeck area. He also started a General Electric franchise in town and later became the proprietor of the Old Gristmill Country Store after having converted the Revolutionary War era gristmill frame into a store. This had been a lifetime dream to own a country store. He married Vera Jewell Johnson in 1941 at Trumbull, CT; Bill met Vera while working in Westport, CT. Millard Wright Linville died in January 1974 at Red Wing, MN, at age 72.
Bill became a contractor in the Rhinebeck area.
