     James Lownes married Susanna Richards, daughter of Dr. Joseph Richards Sr. and Jane (?), in 1692.

     Shadrack Scarlett married Phebe (?) Shadrack Scarlett died before 25 August 1741.

     Her married name was Richards. Lydia Chick married Joseph Richards, son of Joseph Richards and Mary (?). Lydia Chick died in 1766.

     Her married name was Alice Wickersham Second wife of Thomas Wichersham. Alice (?) married Thomas Wickersham.

     Morgan Bryan was born circa 1671 at Denmark. He married Martha Strode circa 1717 at Chester County, PA. Morgan Bryan died on 3 April 1763 at Rowan County, NC. His estate was probated on 13 July 1763 at Rowan County, NC, The will was written 28 Mar 1763 and clearly specifies all of his children. His only living daughter was Eleanor Linville. Sons were Thomas, James. Joseph, Samuel, Morgan, John, William and granddaughter, Mary Forbis, whose mother was his daughter Mary who died young in VA.

     Martha Strode was born in 1697 at Holland. As of circa 1717,her married name was Bryan. She married Morgan Bryan circa 1717 at Chester County, PA. Martha Strode died on 24 August 1762 at Rowan County, NC.

     Joseph Bryan was born circa 1718 at Chester County, PA. Joseph Bryan was apparently married at least twice, possibly three, times. The only semi-official record of the mothers of his numerous children is that in the Exeter Friends (Berks County, PA) Meeting Records of Squire Boone's family compiled by John E. Eshelman in 1930. No sources are given, but Rebecca (Bryan) Boone and Martha (Bryan) Boone are both listed as daughters of Joseph and Alee (---) Bryan. Dates are given for Rebecca's birth, marriage and death. Order of births of children not certain and there may have been others who died unmarried and without issue before Joseph wrote his will. He married Alyee Linvill, daughter of John Linvill and Ann (?), between 1740 and 1746 at Linville Creek, Frederick County, VA, Date is assumed from years of birth of children, depending on which children were Alyee's. Joseph Bryan bought Linville Creek, VA land from Alyee's brother, William, 20 Aug 1746, so presumably they were married by then, particularly since the two Linville brothers left the area a year later and Joseph and Alyee remained there until 1755. Joseph Bryan died before 4 March 1805 at Floyd's Fork, Jefferson County, KY. His estate was probated on 4 March 1805 at Jefferson County, KY, His will left bequests to eleven children and his wife, Alee, including daughters Rebecca Boone and Martha Boone (wives of Daniel and Edward, respectively).

     Mary Bryan was born circa 1720 at Jefferson County, KY. As of circa 1738,her married name was Curtis. She married Thomas Curtis circa 1738 at Orange County, VA. Mary Bryan died in 1742 at "Opequon", Orange County, VA.

     Thomas Curtis married Mary Bryan, daughter of Morgan Bryan and Martha Strode, circa 1738 at Orange County, VA.

     As of circa 1753,her married name was Bryan. Elizabeth Enochs married Samuel Bryan, son of Morgan Bryan and Martha Strode, circa 1753 at Rowan County, NC.

     Morgan Bryan was born circa 1725 at Chester County, PA. He died in 1804 at KY.

     John Bryan was born circa 1728 at Chester County, PA. He died circa 1800 at Bryan's Station, KY.

     William Bryan married Mary Boone, daughter of Squire Boone and Sarah Morgan. William Bryan was born circa 1730 at "Opequon", Orange County, VA. He died in May 1780 at Bryan's Station, KY.

     James Bryan was born circa 1732 at "Opequon", Orange County, VA. He died circa 18 August 1807 at St. Charles County, MO.

     Thomas Bryan was born circa 1734 at "Opequon", Orange County, VA. He died circa 1776 at Rowan County, NC.

     Peter Stephens was born on 9 March 1687 at Heidelberg, Germany. He married Maria Christina Rittenhouse circa 1712 at Germany. Peter Stephens died before 6 December 1757 at Stephens City, Frederick County, VA.

     As of circa 1712,her married name was Maria Christina Stephens. Maria Christina Rittenhouse married Peter Stephens circa 1712 at Germany. Maria Christina Rittenhouse died after 1757 at VA.

     Lewis Stephens was born in 1713/14 at Germany. He witnessed the baptism of Lewis Linvill on 7 June 1737 at Shenandoah Valley, VA; Lewis Stephens was the sponsor. Lewis Stephens died in 1805 at Stephens City, Frederick County, VA.

     Lawrence Stephens was born between 1718 and 1720 at Germany. He died in 1776 at Frederick County, VA.

     Maria Magdalena Stephens was born circa 1722 at PA. She died after 1757.

     Margaretha Stephens was born circa 1724 at PA. She died in 1801 at Shenandoah County, VA.

     Peter Stephens was born in 1730 at PA. He died in 1812 at Montgomery County, VA.

     Henry Stephens was born on 8 April 1734 at "Opequon", Frederick County, VA. He died in 1767 at Frederick County, VA.

     William Linville was born on 27 November 1757 at Frederick County, VA. He married Mary Morris. William Linville appears on the 1818 tax list for Lincoln County, GA. He appeared on the census of 1830 at Lincoln County, GA. The limited information about William is from his pension application (#5321) for the Revolutionary War that he filed in 1840. It states that he was born and lived in Frederick Co., VA until his enlistment in 1777. He was immediately marched to GA where he apparently remained with no furhter contact with the Linville family. He and his wife Mary, who was blind, apparently never had any children. He and Mary Morris appeared on the census of 1840 at Lincoln County, GA. William Linville died on 30 November 1842 at Lincoln County, GA, at age 85.

     Unknown (?) married Thomas Linvill, son of John Linvill and first wife of John (?), He possibly had two wives -- either one before or after Hannah. If so, the other wife could have been the mother of one or more of his older children born before the 1740s or the two youngest sons born after 1750. Wife Hannah was certainly the mother of some of his children. It is the introduction of the less used given names of Aaron and Moses for sons born in the 1750s that suggests these came from his wife's side of the family. These given names are not found in those areas where the Linvills lived from 1730s-50s. It seems likely they came from the wife's family, whether Hannah or another. Her married name was Linvill Second marriage for Thomas Linvill.
