He married Elizabeth Russell Sink, daughter of William Sink and Susan Glascock, on 31 December 1891 at Forsyth County, NC. Dr. Aaron Y. Linville died on 7 July 1945 at Forsyth County, NC, at age 82. He was buried at Waughtown Cemetery, Winston-Salem, Forsyth County, NC.
