     William J. Emmons was Family records indicate William did not marry although his death certificate indicates he was a widower. He was born circa 1836. He was William was a saloon keeper. He died on 15 September 1919. He was buried at Calvary Cemetery, Springfield, IL.

     This William is currently listed as the son of Worley/Elizabeth due largely to - right place and time circumstances - there is only one other William in the area that could possibly fit (see below). Census records indicate William's parents were born in NC - Worley/Elizabeth were both born in NC and moved from NC to Rockcastle, KY area and had a son, William. William is the right age and and his wife, Margaret, was born and raised in Mercer Co., KY which is in the same general area of KY as Rockcastle Co.

In addition, a number of William's descendants family history consistently show the family moved from Mercer County, KY area.

Worley's brother, William Jr., also has a son, William, of which little is known - he is a bit younger and is also in Rockcastle area. That is the only other possibility that has been considered. William Jr. was born in NC but Margaret was born in VA. Marjorie Mears provided additional information for a number of William Linville's children and their descendants - April 2010. William Linville was born circa 1810 at KY; Census records consistently show his DOB around 1810. KY was always shown as place of birth. William Linville and Margaret Peeveler appeared on the census of 1850 at Mercer County, KY. William Linville and Margaret Peeveler appeared on the census of June 1860 at Fayette County, KY. William Linville moved at Fountain County, IN, between 1861 and 1863 Per multiple family history sources, moved from Mercer County, KY to IN near Veedersburg.
